70,000 Yaba tablets seized, one arrested

way2barak, September 20: Acting on source input, Cachar Police conducted an anti-narcotics operation in the Silchar Bypass area under Silchar PS and intercepted a vehicle bearing registration No. AS-11-W-5020.

During the search, 70,000 suspected Yaba tablets were recovered from the vehicle.

One person, Tahir Hussain (34), S/o Late Siraj Uddin, R/o Tapadar Para, Patharkandi, Sribhumi, was apprehended.

Partha Pratim Das, SSP Cachar says that Legal action has been initiated, and further investigation is underway to trace the forward and backward linkages.
