November 16: With the air pollution in India’s capital reaching deadly levels in recent times, life has become miserable in Delhi. At a time when India’s capital Delhi is struggling for clean air, there’s one spot in the city where one can breathe “pure oxygen” for 15 minutes. A man has come up with an innovative idea to offer its citizens a literal breath of fresh air.

Two budding entrepreneurs from Delhi who launched a bar with a menu that has never been heard before – just pure oxygen! The bar which offers pure oxygen is the brain child of Aryavir Kumar and Margarita Kuritsyna, who are 26 and 25 years old respectively.

Oxy Pure, Delhi’s first oxygen therapy bar at Saket in New Delhi offers 12 calming aromas to battle ailments like memory loss, weight gain, asthma, and sleep disorders. Just sit back, relax, and breathe a sigh of relief ! Currently Oxy Pure is serving air in seven different aromas – lemongrass, organe, cinnamon, spearmint, peppermint, eucalyptus and lavender. Oxy Pure charges Rs299 for fifteen minutes of pure air. However, prices vary according to the flavours.

How does one inhale the air? “The customer is provided with a tube and the person is required to inhale the flavoured oxygen from it,”

The bar, which receives around 15-20 customers on any ordinary day, has been witnessing an appreciable growth in business amid a public health emergency due to a harmful spike in pollution levels. Bonny Irengbam, the head staff of Oxy Pure said, “We have been receiving 25-30 people every day. You can say it’s because of extreme pollution which is killing everyone.”

Oxy Pure is located at Select City Walk Mall in Saket. “The second outlet is expected to be launched soon at the Delhi Airport by December 2019,” Bonny Irengbam said.
