Sec 21A of Registration Act amended; no NOC required from DCs for transfer/ lease of house, flats, buildings

March 1: In a further boost to administrative reforms, Government of Assam has done Amendment of Section 21A of Registration Act to expedite registration process for transfer/lease of house, flats, residential apartments, commercial buildings etc. Henceforth, no No-Objection Certificate (NOC) will be required to be obtained from the Deputy Commissioners (DC). This was stated by Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet on Tuesday.
