Himanta walks again, now at Karimganj followed by huge crowd

April 14: After a huge road show at Silchar on Saturday, BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma walked through the streets of Karimganj on Sunday along with the BJP MP candidate Kripanath Malla with full vigour.

State Minister & heavy weight leader Himanta Biswa Sarma exhibited extreme enthusiasm. He was accompanied by the leaders of Karimganj District BJP and sea of followers. The rally went through the major points of the town. Everywhere people greeted Himanta with uttoriyo and gamosa.

He alleged that the Congress does not have any ideology and keeps changing its version on the contentious Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, while the BJP is firm on its commitment that all the refugees will stay in India. Sarma also asserted that the BJP will win all the five seats that went to polls in the first phase, “with a margin of two lakh votes each”. Voting for the Karimganj Lok Sabha constituency will take place in the second phase of general elections on April 18.

In his twitter handle, Himanta wrote, “What a rapturous response as I criss-crossed the city in our Pad Yatra. It was a memorable evening and your affection confirms a clear win for Kripanath Mallah. Let’s be the change.”

On Saturday evening, Himanta Biswa Sharma participated in a road show at Silchar to garner votes for the party candidate Dr. Rajdeep Roy. Silchar too will go for the polls on 18 April. The results of the poll will be declared on 23 May, 2019.
