2 Manipur youth arrested in Lakhipur with Yaba tablets and heroine

way2barak May 23: Under Lakhipur PS area, Based on source information regarding transportation of illegal NDPS substances, an operation was conducted where two persons were apprehended suspected to be carrying contrabands. Upon searching them in presence of independent witnesses, the following articles were recovered-

1. 10000 suspected yaba tablets (1.072 kg)

2. ⁠Two soap cases of suspected Heroin (21 gms)

3. ⁠ Three mobile phones

DD kit test yielded positive result for both Yaba and Heroin respectively. Based on the their statement, a boat fitted with machine has been recovered and seized from Barak river which was used for transportation of drugs from Manipur to Assam.

1)Jame L Malsawm Age- 27 yrs , S/O- Rochunghnung, VILL-Krngrengdawr Dist- Pherizawl , Manipur

2)Kenyrozer Hmar Age-30 yrs S/O- Lropui Vill- Kangrengdor ,Dist- Pherizawl, Manipur.

Police informs, further legal action to be followed.
