Senior Magistrates deployed at ISTT Ramnagar to ensure peaceful and transparent process on May 4
way2barak, April 28 : —With the counting of votes for the General Election to the Assam Legislative Assembly, 2026 scheduled on May 4 at ISTT, Ramnagar, the Cachar District Administration has stepped up its preparedness to ensure that the entire exercise is conducted in a peaceful, orderly and transparent manner.
Recognising the significance of the counting process of the assembly election, the administration has entrusted magistrates with the task of overseeing law and order arrangements in and around the counting centre.

The magistrates assigned for this duty include Arnav Kumar Baruah, Circle Officer, Sadar Circle, Silchar, Rajnish Sarmah, Assistant Commissioner, Dholai; Violina Boruah, Assistant Commissioner, Cachar, Anindita Das, Assistant Commissioner, Cachar; Nikhil Adhikari, Block Development Officer, Borkhola Development Block, Bishu Das, Assistant Executive Engineer, PWD, Silchar, Sonai & Dholai Territorial Building Division and Avishek Pandey, Assistant Executive Engineer, Dholai-Sonai Sub-Division (Irrigation), Dholai.
