Cachar Administration deputes expert trainers to strengthen counting preparedness

way2barak, April 27 :– In a concerted effort to ensure a seamless and error-free vote counting process for the Assembly Election, 2026, the Cachar District Administration has put in place an extensive training arrangement for counting personnel. The sessions will be conducted at Government Boys Higher Secondary School in two phases, scheduled on April 29 and May 2, 2026, beginning at 10:30 AM, with a focus on ensuring a smooth, accurate and transparent counting process.

A team of Assembly Level Master Trainers and Master Trainers has been detailed to conduct the sessions, bringing together experienced academicians and professionals from leading institutions such as Silchar Polytechnic, Gurucharan College, Cachar College, Nehru College, Assam University, along with several reputed schools and institutions across the district.

The trainers entrusted with this responsibility include Dr. Pankaj Goswami, Dr. Sumita Bhattacharjee, Dr. Avinoy Paul, Dr. Meghamala Mahanta, Kishore Kumar Deb, Dr. A. Pushpalata Singh, Surojit Acharjee, Dr. Soma Bhattacharjee, Dr. Soumitra Nath, Dr. Hemanta Kumar Bora, Jogendra Chandra Das, Debobrata Acharjee, Dr. Swapan Das, Dr. Surjyasen Deb, Dr. Gongesh Bhattacharjee, Dr. Debasish Chakraborty, Dr. Biplab Chaudhuri and Dr. Jaydeep Chakrabarty. Each trainer has been assigned to designated rooms to ensure the systematic conduct of the programme.

The training programme will focus on detailed counting procedures enabling personnel to discharge their duties with clarity and precision while adhering strictly to prescribed guidelines. All trainers have been requested to be present at the venue at least thirty minutes in advance to facilitate timely commencement and smooth coordination of the sessions.

In addition, a reserve panel comprising Kiriti Bhusan Dey and Rahul Kanti Nath has been kept on standby to meet any contingency requirements during the training period.
