Mediation for Nation 3.0 – Special Mediation Drive launched in Cachar District

way2barak, September 11:—The District Legal Services Authority, Cachar, under the guidance of the Assam State Legal Services Authority and the Hon’ble Gauhati High Court Mediation Centre, has commenced implementation of “Mediation for Nation 3.0 Mediation Drive for Settlement of Pending Cases through Mediation.”
The campaign is a nationwide initiative approved by the Mediation and Conciliation Project Committee (MCPC), Supreme Court of India, with the objective of promoting amicable settlement of suitable pending cases through mediation.
During the campaign, suitable pending cases will be identified and screened for mediation. Awareness activities will also be undertaken to encourage litigants to opt for mediation as an effective, speedy, confidential and cost-efficient mode of dispute resolution. The campaign will start from 01/10/2026 and will conclude on 31/12/2026
The mediation process covers various categories of disputes, including matrimonial disputes, accident claim cases, cheque bounce cases, criminal compoundable cases, consumer disputes, debt recovery matters, arbitration matters, commercial disputes, service matters, partition suits, eviction suits, land acquisition matters, labour disputes and other suitable civil cases.
The District Legal Services Authority, Cachar, appeals to all litigants, advocates and members of the public to actively support the campaign and avail themselves of the benefits of mediation for peaceful and expeditious resolution of disputes and shall appear before the concerned Courts/Mediation Centre on receipt of Notices of Mediation.
