AUTA organises Shraddhanjali in memory of Zubeen Garg

ওয়ে টু বরাক, ২৪ সেপ্টেম্বর : কিংবদন্তি কণ্ঠশিল্পী জুবিন গর্গকে শ্রদ্ধার সঙ্গে স্মরণ করল আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় শিক্ষক সংস্থা। বুধবার বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে মূল প্রবেশদ্বারের সামনে জুবিন গর্গের প্রতিকৃতিতে পুষ্পার্ঘ্য অর্পণের পাশাপাশি প্রদীপ জ্বালিয়ে স্মৃতিচারণ করা হয়। এতে বক্তব্য রাখেন আউটার সভাপতি ড. মৃত্যুঞ্জয় সিং, ড. আলফরিদ হোসেইন, ড. যুথিকা কানোয়ার, ড. মৌসম হ্যান্ডিক, ড. জয়শ্রী দে, ড. মনালি লংমাইলাই প্রমুখ। শেষে শোকপ্রস্তাব পাঠ করেন সম্পাদক ড. অমিত কুমার দাস।

এদিন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের গণিত বিভাগের গবেষকরা বিভাগীয় কনফারেন্স হলে পৃথক এক শ্রদ্ধাঞ্জলি অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করে প্রাণের প্রিয় শিল্পীকে স্মরণ করেন। এতে অংশ নেন বিভাগীয় প্রধান অধ্যাপক নবেন্দু সেন সহ অন্য অধ্যাপক সহ ছাত্রছাত্রীরা। বক্তারা সঙ্গীত তথা সমাজে প্র‍য়াত শিল্পীর অসামান্য অবদানের কথা কৃতজ্ঞতার সঙ্গে স্মরণ করেন। বক্তারা এও বলেন, এক সাক্ষাৎকারে জুবিন বলেছিলেন ‘মোর কোন জাতি নাই, মোর কোন ধর্ম নাই…’। তাঁর এই স্বগতোক্তি প্রগতিশীল চিন্তাভাবনা ও সর্বজনীন মানবতাবাদকে প্রতিফলিত করে। তাঁর চেতনা আমাদের চিরকাল অনুপ্রাণিত করবে বলেও উল্লেখ করেন সবাই। শেষে সবাই মিলে কালজয়ী সঙ্গীত ‘মায়াবিনী রাতর বুকুত…’ পরিবেশন করেন।

এদিকে আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ডিফু ক্যাম্পাসেও এদিন প্রয়াত শিল্পীর প্রতি শ্রদ্ধা জানাতে এক অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করা হয়। এতে অধ্যাপক, গবেষক ও ছাত্রছাত্রীরা অংশগ্রহণ করে অসমের হৃদস্পন্দন জুবিন গর্গকে শ্রদ্ধাঞ্জলি জানান। অনুষ্ঠানে বিভিন্ন ভাষায় সঙ্গীতও পরিবেশন করেন ছাত্র-গবেষকরা।

Way2barak, September 24 : Assam University Teachers’ Association (AUTA) organized a Shraddhanjali programme in the university campus on 24 September, in the memory of Late Dr. Zubeen Garg, an eminent singer, musician and a notable personage. The university teachers offered a floral tribute to Late Dr. Zubeen Garg, the musical legend of Assam. Dr. Mrityunjay Singh, President, AUTA shared a condolence speech on behalf of the university teaching fraternity on the passing of a distinguished icon of the state. Along with Dr. Singh, other faculties Dr. Alfarid Hussain, Dr. Juthika Konwar, Dr. Mousam Handique, Dr. Joyashri Dey and Dr. Monali Longmailai expressed words of admiration and respect towards him on this day. Dr. Amit Kumar Das, Secretary, AUTA, read out the condolence message during the gathering, which will be conveyed with Smti Garima Garg and their family.

Meanwhile, Scholars of the Department of Mathematics also organized a floral tribute and sraddhanjali for the departed soul the proud son of Assam, Late Zubeen Garg. All the students, along with faculty members, paid their respects, and a discussion was held about his life and immense contributions to music and society. Finally, the faculty and students together sang his evergreen song MAYABINI. Some students also shared their thoughts and memories abo ut Zubeen Garg through writing.

Assam University Diphu Campus Teachers’ Association (AUDCTA) organised a musical tribute to Zubeen Garg today at the campus wherein different students and research scholars along with teachers performed various songs in Assamese, Karbi, Bodo, Dimasa, etc. and paid a tribute to the Maestro..
