May 21: After a day long effort, electricity to all area under 11 kV Chencoorie feeder no. 4 has been restored through 11 Meherpur feeder no. 5 & 6. But unfortunately electricity to area served by 11 KV Chirukandi feeder number 3 could not be restored as no such short term alternative arrangement is available there. Inconvenience to our consumers is sincerely regretted. This was informed by Electrical Sub-Division-II, APDCL(CAR), N S Avenue on Saturday night.

In the evening, it was informed that linking of Rangirkhari to Mizoram Circuit House section of 11 KV Chencoorie feeder No. 4 with 11 KV Meherpur feeder no. 6 has been done (as 33/11 KV Chencoorie DSS is under flood.). Feeder no. 6 now charged and thereby load feeder from Chenkuri sub station is now being fed from Meherpur 33/11 KV sub station.

Earlier in the morning, APDCL stated that Water level at Chenkuri 33/11 KV sub-station reached almost the danger level. To avoid any untoward incident, the whole sub station will be kept under shutdown until the water recedes. The areas where power supply has been disrupted are Civil Hospital, Panpatty, ambicapatty, Chenkuri road, Bilpar, Public School Road, Rangirkhari, Hospital Road, Link Road, National Highway, Bhagatpur etc. “We are trying hard to evacuate power to these areas from other 33/11 KV sub stations via different 11 KV feeders, stated APDCL.
