Heroine seized, two persons arrested in Bariknagar

way2barak, April 11: On the basis of reliable information regarding smuggling of Narcotric Substance, an operation was conducted today nearby Bariknagar Pt-2 Silchar. Two persons namely Jubed Ahmed Laskar S/O Khuda Mia Laskar Dakhin Mohanpur, Sonai and Burhan Uddin S/O Bashir Ali Dholaimolai Pt 1, Katlicharra, Hailakandi, Assam were apprehended while coming towards Silchar on Bike and upon search, found total 19 nos. soap cases (net weight 216 grams) containing suspected to be Heroin, two Mobile handset, one bike bearing Reg No- AS 24E9884 and cash Rs 500/- were recovered from their possession, which were duly seized as per procedure of NDPS Act. The value of seized article worth Rs Rs1.08 Crore.

 In this regard case is being initiated, says Rajat Paul, ASP, Cachar.
