With 6 more Covid +ve case, day’s total in Cachar rises to 10 on 22 October

Active cases 65 in Cachar, 8 discharged on Friday

Oct. 22: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Friday at 10.20 PM. As per the latest data, 06 more persons were detected as Coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 10 persons were found positive in the district on 22 October. Earlier, at 5 PM, it was informed that 04 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 65. This was informed by District Media Expert on Friday night. Also, 08 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Thursday, 17 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.

As per the updated data, a total of 2,009 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 04 persons were found positive, whereas 06 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 20,215 whereas during this phase, 19,934 patients were discharged.

Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 61 active patients:

14 of them are admitted at SMCH
01 at MH
04 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
00 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
46 patients are in home isolation.

The Covid-19 situation in Cachar is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 21 October to 5 PM on 22 October) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Friday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 22 October, there were 17 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, 01 patient was put under ventilator support, and 05 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 06 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 03 of them were discharged.
