Assam registers 18 more deaths due to COVID-19 on Tuesday, toll rises to 778

Oct. 6: Assam registered another 18 deaths due to coronavirus on Tuesday. With this, the death tally of the state due to COVID-19 has now reached 778. This was confirmed in a tweet on Tuesday by State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. The 18 deceased were identified as:

• Tapan Nath (52) of Cachar
• Deben Rajkonwar (65) & Ratan Baruah (67) of Dibrugarh
• Rani Saikia Bordoloi (52), Sandeep Das (47) & Ranjit Kr Das (72) of Kamrup Metro
• Narendra Nath Saikia (61) of Nagaon
• Amina Parbin (1 year 6 months) of Barpeta
• Debendra Mushahary (65) & Samila Basumatary (38) of Chirang
• Ritamoni Hazarika (52) of Jorhat
• Hemkanta Borah (58) & Monika Bhumij (17) of Golaghat
• Binod Ch Bhuyan (58) of Sonitpur
• Siddique Hussain (72) of Dhubri
• Brozen Baruah (58) & Kumud Ch Das (57) of Sivasagar
• Binod Singha (45) of Bongaigaon
