85 students test positive for Covid-19 in a school at Nainital

Jan. 2: In what seems to be a cluster outbreak, 85 students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Gangarkot in Nainital District of Uttarakhand were detected positive for Covid-19. The infected students have been isolated in different hostels and the school has been classified into a micro-containment zone. Initially, eleven students were found positive for Covid-19, following which samples of 488 students were sent for testing by the Uttarakhand Health Department. After Covid-19 testing, it was confirmed that a total of 85 students tested positive for the infection.
