“Hridoye Rabindranath, Chetanay Unish” Art Exhibition Held in Silchar
‘হৃদয়ে রবীন্দ্রনাথ, চেতনায় উনিশ’ নিয়ে চিত্রপ্রদর্শনী আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের

ওয়ে টু বরাক, ১৮ মে : আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ভিজ্যুয়াল আর্টস বিভাগের শিক্ষার্থীরা শনিবার শিলচরের পার্ক রোডস্থিত মধ্য সহর সাংস্কৃতিক সংস্থার কার্যালয়ে “হৃদয়ে রবীন্দ্রনাথ, চেতনায় উনিশ” শীর্ষক এক চিত্রপ্রদর্শনীর আয়োজন করে। সম্মিলিত সাংস্কৃতিক মঞ্চের উদ্যোগে আয়োজিত এই প্রদর্শনীতে রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুরের ভাবধারা এবং ১৯ মে ভাষা শহিদ দিবসের চেতনা শিল্পসম্মত উপস্থাপনার মাধ্যমে তুলে ধরা হয়।

প্রদর্শনীতে অংশগ্রহণকারী শিক্ষার্থীরা ছিলেন সৌরভ ঋষি, রাহুল দাস, রাতুল দেবনাথ, তাপসী দে, অনুজা চৌধুরী, ত্রিদিশা দত্ত, ঋতম দাস, দীক্ষিতা মিশ্র এবং শুভপ্রিয়া দেব। তাঁদের শিল্পকর্মে ভাষা আন্দোলনের আবেগ, বাঙালির সাংস্কৃতিক পরিচয় এবং রবীন্দ্রচেতনার নানা দিক ফুটে ওঠে।

অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ভিজ্যুয়াল আর্টস বিভাগের বিভাগীয় প্রধান অধ্যাপক নির্মল কান্তি রায় এবং বিভাগের সহযোগী অধ্যাপক ড. গণেশ নন্দী। আয়োজকদের পক্ষ থেকে তাঁদের সংবর্ধনা জানানো হয়। এদিন অধ্যাপক রায় ও ড. নন্দী ১৯ মে-র ঐতিহাসিক গুরুত্ব ও তাৎপর্য নিয়ে বক্তব্য রাখেন।

Way2barak, May 18 : Students of the Department of Visual Arts at Assam University organised an art exhibition titled “Hridoye Rabindranath, Chetanay Unish” at the office of Madhya Sahar Sanskritik Sangstha on Park Road, Silchar, on May 16. The exhibition was organised under the banner of Sammilita Sanskritik Mancha and creatively reflected the spirit of Rabindranath Tagore along with the emotion and consciousness associated with the historic 19th May Language Movement.

Through their artworks, the participating students portrayed themes of cultural identity, linguistic pride, and the enduring influence of Rabindranath Tagore. The students who took part in the exhibition were Saurav Rishi, Rahul Das, Ratul Debnath, Tapashi Dey, Anuja Choudhury, Tridisha Dutta, Ritam Das, Dikshita Mishra, and Subhapriya Deb.

Prof. Nirmal Kanti Roy, Head of the Department of Visual Arts, and Dr. Ganesh Nandi, Associate Professor of the department, were felicitated by the organisers during the programme. Addressing the gathering, both Prof. Roy and Dr. Nandi spoke on the historical significance of 19th May and enriched the occasion with their gracious presence.
