10,000 Yaba tablets seized, auto driver arrested in Kabuganj

way2barak, May 15: 10,000 Yaba tablets were recovered and duly seized from an Auto Rickshaw bearing Registration No. AS 11 CC 4449, which was proceeding towards Panibhora from Kabuganj side. On the basis of reliable source, the auto Rickshaw was intercepted by the Police. During search of the vehicle, the tablets were recovered from the possession of the driver namely Hiramoni Choudhury of Haidor Bazar, P.S.:- Kachudaram.

Police said, the recovered suspected Yaba tablets were tested using the Drug Detection Kit (DDK) and the result was found positive. Hiramoni is arrested and interogated.

Lawful action is being initiated in this regard. The market value of the seized tablets is Rs. three crore, police informs.
