606 coronavirus cases in 25 states & UTs in India

March 25: Total cases of the novel coronavirus disease in India rose 606 as India entered the first day of a three-week lockdown. The tally includes 10 people who have succumbed to the respiratory illness. Cases in India have more than tripled in the last five days. The cases have been confirmed across 25 states and Union Territories of the country. Out of 606 cases, 563 are Indian nationals and the remaining are foreign nationals. Further, 43 people have been cured, discharged or migrated.

Maharashtra is the most affected state with 128 positive cases, followed by Kerala with 109 cases (including eight foreign nationals). Here is a state-wise count of coronavirus as per the health ministry:

In the world context, the total number of coronavirus patients went to 4,33,172, out of which 3,01,757 cases were active and 1,11,738 were recovered cases. A total of 19,677 persons have died so far.
