Trump confirms rescue of US officer, says ‘we got him’

way2barak, April 5: US President Donald Trump says the American officer who went missing in Iran after the downing of his F-15E fighter jet has been rescued and is “now safe and sound”.

He had been missing for two days after being apparently shot down.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has praised Trump and the US soldiers who conducted the recuse mission.

Iran says US-Israeli attacks have killed five people and wounded 170 others at the Mahshahr Petrochemical Zone, and that more than 30 universities have been targeted since the beginning of the war.
