Special HS Final Examination; to apply contact respective school/college by 16 August

Aug 6: Due to the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic, the HS Final Examination, 2021 was not held and the results were declared on the basis of a formula evolved by a high powered committee. However, many students and guardians expressed dissatisfaction at the results. It is in this backdrop that the Assam Government has decided to conduct a special HS Final Examination, 2021.

Informing this, State Education Minister, Dr Ranoj Pegu stated that students who are not satisfied with their marks can appear in this special HS examination, 2021, which will be conducted by Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC).

Whom to contact:

Students eager to appear in this special HS Exam, 2021 are to contact their respective schools/ colleges, institutions from 9 to 16 August.

Who are eligible:

Candidates belonging to all categories, such as, regular, reappearance, betterment, repeat, certain subjects, compartmental are eligible to apply for this special examination.

Important Points:

• Marks in practical subject(s) to remain same as in the previous marksheets.
• No alteration of subject(s) other than the subject(s) applied for the cancelled HS Final Exam to be allowed.
• Marksheets of the special examination to be issued to candidates after proper evaluation.
• Original marksheets must be submitted to the in-charge of the candidates’ Examination centre concerned to obtain the Admit Card before commencement of the Special Examination.
• Examination details will be issued in due course of time.
