Shabnam Majumdar, a student of Silchar Polytechnic selected in national level photography competition

way2barak, Sept.8: Shabnam Majumdar, a student of 4th Semester, Civil Engineering at Silchar Polytechnic , was selected in the “Sarovar Jal Dharohar Sanrakshan” Internship Photography Competition organized at the national level by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India and All India Council for Technical Education.

In this competition organized by Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation under Mission Amrit, Shabnam had taken the picture of Narsingh Tola Pond of Silchar for the competition wherein she was selected in the top 25. Shabnam is the daughter of Late Nazrul Islam Majumdar and Sultana Majumdar Lilly, residents of Meherpur.

The award will be given to her at a function to be held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on 9 September, 2022. During the event, a programme will also be held with 76 youths selected from across the country for the boost of drinking water and sewerage sector. On the success of Shabnam, her relatives, friends and well wishers have congratulated her.
