Postal ballot voting window opens in Cachar

way2barak, April 24:  District Administration of Cachar has announced the commencement of Postal Ballot voting for eligible applicants who submitted “Form I-E” by the stipulated deadline of 21st April 2025. The administration has set up a dedicated Facilitation Centre at the Office of the Circle Officer, Sadar Circle, Cachar, Silchar, which will operate from 25th April to 29th April 2025, excluding Sunday, 27th April. The centre will remain open daily from 11:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M., offering ample time and convenience to all postal ballot applicants.

To further extend the reach and accessibility of this initiative, another Voting Facilitation Centre will function at ISTT, Ramnagar on 30th April and 1st May 2025. These centres are equipped to handle the influx of voters who, due to specific reasons, have opted for postal ballots as their means to exercise democratic rights.

The Additional District Commissioner of Cachar, Silchar, in charge of the Postal Ballot Paper Cell, has urged all concerned applicants to avail themselves of this opportunity within the notified schedule.
