Gauhati Univ to conduct PG & UG exams in June 2021 in ‘Open Book System’ online mode

May 7: An urgent online meeting was held in Gauhati University under the Chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Prof Pratap Jyotl Handique as regards the conduct of TDC Odd Semester Examinations. The meeting was attended by the Presidents and the General Secretaries of Gauhati University Teachers Association, Assam College Principals’ Council, Assam College Teachers’ Association and all the Heads of the Teaching Departments of Gauhati University, Registrar, Secretary, University Classes. and Controller of Examinations and Executive Council members.

Alter threadbare discussion on the matter and taking into account the current situation, the meeting decided that all pending examinations will be held in Open Book System in the online mode only. The PG Examinations will be started from of 1 June, 2021 and will be completed by 15 June, 2021, while the UG Examinations will be started from 2nd week of June, 2021.

Necessary study break will be decided by the respective HoDs and Principals of the Colleges. A Committee was also constituted to streamline the system and to offer necessary suggestion to the Controller of Examinations. A detailed notification will be published by the Controller of Examinations in this regard soon which will also contain information about the SoP for the online mode.
