Five-Day Training Programme at Assam University to Enhance Employability and New-Age Skills of Female Students
মহিলা শিক্ষার্থীদের কর্মদক্ষতা উন্নয়নে আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে পাঁচ দিনের প্রশিক্ষণ

ওয়ে টু বরাক, ৭ অক্টোবর : মহিলা শিক্ষার্থীদের কর্মসংস্থান যোগ্যতা, জীবনদক্ষতা ও আধুনিক যুগের প্রয়োজনীয় দক্ষতা গড়ে তুলতে আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের কৃষি প্রকৌশল বিভাগে শুরু হয়েছে পাঁচ দিনের প্রশিক্ষণ কর্মসূচি। ‘এমপ্লয়েবিলিটি স্কিলস অ্যান্ড নিউ এজ স্কিলস ফর ফিমেল স্টুডেন্টস অব অসম’ শীর্ষক এই প্রশিক্ষণ ৬ অক্টোবর থেকে শুরু হয়েছে। চলবে ১০ অক্টোবর পর্যন্ত।

মহিন্দ্রা অ্যান্ড মহিন্দ্রার কর্পোরেট সামাজিক দায়বদ্ধতা (সিএসআর) উদ্যোগ ‘মহিন্দ্রা প্রাইড ক্লাসরুম’-এর অধীনে নন্দী ফাউন্ডেশনের বাস্তবায়নে এবং আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ইনস্টিটিউশনস ইনোভেশন কাউন্সিল (আইআইসি) ও এন্টারপ্রেনার ডেভেলপমেন্ট সেন্টারের সহযোগিতায় এই কর্মসূচির আয়োজন করা হয়েছে। উদ্বোধনী অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক রাজীব মোহন পন্থ, অধ্যাপক দেবমাল্য ঘোষ, ড. অজিতা তিওয়ারি, অদিতি নাথ প্রমুখ।

উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক পন্থ বলেন, শিক্ষার্থীদের প্রাতিষ্ঠানিক শিক্ষার পাশাপাশি প্রয়োজনীয় দক্ষতায় দক্ষ করে তোলা অত্যন্ত জরুরি। দ্রুত পরিবর্তনশীল কর্মজগতে যোগাযোগ দক্ষতা, ডিজিটাল জ্ঞান, সমালোচনামূলক চিন্তাভাবনা, পরিস্থিতির সঙ্গে মানিয়ে নেওয়ার ক্ষমতা এবং উদ্যোগী হওয়ার দক্ষতার গুরুত্ব ক্রমশ বাড়ছে। বিকশিত ভারত ২০৪৭-এর লক্ষ্য পূরণে মহিলা শিক্ষার্থীদের দক্ষ করে তোলার এই উদ্যোগেরও প্রশংসা করেন তিনি।

অধ্যাপক দেবমাল্য ঘোষ বলেন, কর্মসংস্থান যোগ্যতা শুধু চাকরি পাওয়ার মধ্যে সীমাবদ্ধ নয়; কর্মজীবনে সাফল্যের জন্য আত্মবিশ্বাস, যোগাযোগের দক্ষতা, সমস্যা সমাধানের ক্ষমতা এবং পেশাদার মনোভাবও প্রয়োজন। ড. অজিতা তিওয়ারি তরুণীদের কর্মসংস্থানযোগ্যতা ও আধুনিক যুগের দক্ষতা অর্জনের সুযোগ তৈরির ওপর গুরুত্ব দেন।

মহিন্দ্রা প্রাইড ক্লাসরুমের প্রশিক্ষক তাজির হুসেন পাঁচ দিনের কর্মসূচির বিভিন্ন দিক তুলে ধরেন। মোট ৪০ ঘণ্টার এই প্রশিক্ষণে যোগাযোগ দক্ষতা, সফট স্কিল, জীবনদক্ষতা, উপস্থাপনা, সাক্ষাৎকার, দলীয় আলোচনা, সমালোচনামূলক চিন্তাভাবনা ও সমস্যা সমাধান, ডিজিটাল দক্ষতা, আর্থিক সচেতনতা, কর্মজীবনের প্রস্তুতি এবং উদ্যোগী হওয়ার মতো বিষয় অন্তর্ভুক্ত রয়েছে।

Way2barak, October 7 : A five-day training programme aimed at enhancing employability, life skills and new-age skills among female students has commenced at the Department of Agricultural Engineering, Assam University, Silchar. Titled “Employability Skills & New Age Skills for Female Students of Assam,” the programme began on October 6 and will continue till October 10.

The programme is being organised under the Mahindra Pride Classroom, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of Mahindra & Mahindra, implemented by the Nandi Foundation, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and the Entrepreneurship Development Centre of Assam University. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rajive Mohan Pant, Prof. Debmalya Ghosh, Dr. Ajita Tiwari, Aditi Nath and others were present at the inaugural programme.

Addressing the gathering, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pant emphasised the importance of equipping students with essential skills alongside formal academic education. He said that in a rapidly changing world of work, communication skills, digital literacy, critical thinking, adaptability and entrepreneurial skills are becoming increasingly important. He also appreciated the initiative to empower female students with relevant skills towards achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.

Prof. Debmalya Ghosh said employability is not limited to securing a job; confidence, communication skills, problem-solving abilities and a professional attitude are equally important for success in a career. Dr. Ajita Tiwari stressed the need to create greater opportunities for young women to develop employability and new-age skills.
Tajir Hussain, trainer under the Mahindra Pride Classroom, outlined various aspects of the five-day programme. The 40-hour training programme covers communication skills, soft skills, life skills, presentation skills, interview preparation, group discussions, critical thinking and problem-solving, digital skills, financial awareness, career readiness and entrepreneurship, among other areas.
