Assam sees record voter turnout of over 85%

way2barak April 9: Polling for Assembly election in Assam ended largely peacefully with strong voter participation, the Election Commission of India said. Assam recorded their highest-ever turnout at 85.38 per cent. Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and fellow commissioners oversaw the process through live monitoring.
