Administration sets up help centre at EVM/VVPAT warehouse in Silchar

way2barak, March 24: In a directive issued by the Additional District Commissioner of Cachar and Officer-in-Charge of the Training Cell, it has been informed that a Help Centre has been set up at the EVM/VVPAT Warehouse located on Club Road, Silchar, to ensure the smooth conduct of training for polling personnel.
The centre will become operational from March 25, 2026, and will remain open from Monday to Saturday between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM until further orders are issued.
In this regard, the appointed ALMTs and officials of the training branch will impart training to the polling personnel visiting the centre.
As per the schedule, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Dr. Rajat Sharmacharya, Assistant Professor at Assam University, Silchar, Dr. Sriparna Bhattacharya, Assistant Professor at Assam University, Silchar and Shri Nilu Sarkar, Peon at the Office of the District School Inspector, Silchar, will conduct the sessions. From 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Dr. Abhinay Paul, Assistant Professor at Cachar College, Silchar, Dr. Meghmala Mahanta, Assistant Professor at Nehru College, Pailapool, and Shri Chayan Dutta, Grade-IV staff at the Executive Engineer’s Office, Silchar, will take over the training responsibilities.
Similarly, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Dr. K H Shantakumar Singh, Assistant Professor at Assam University, Silchar; Dr. Sumita Bhattacharya, Assistant Professor at Gurucharan College, Silchar, and Shri Nilu Sarkar, Peon at the Office of the District School Inspector, Silchar, will be present for training duties. From 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Shri Kiritibhushan Dey, Associate Professor at Cachar College, Silchar, Shri Samarpan Nath, Assistant Professor at Gurucharan University, Silchar and Shri Chayan Dutta, Grade-IV staff at the Office of the Executive Engineer, Silchar, will conduct the sessions.
