35 fresh COVID cases in Hailakandi on Monday, active cases 127

May 3: Hailakandi registered the highest number of 35 fresh COVID-19 cases on Monday, pushing the coronavirus tally in the district to 3,570. This is the highest single day spike in the number of positive cases in this year.  With these new cases, the district has altogether 127 active COVID-19 cases while 3,419 patients have been discharged.

22 patients are presently undergoing treatment at SK Roy Civil Hospital, one at Silchar Medical College and Hospital, 98 kept thunder home isolation and four in other districts. Altogether 1,81,454 samples for COVID-19 have been tested so far, including 905 samples taken in the last 24 hours. Results of 298 samples are awaited from SMC&H. The district has accounted for 10 COVID deaths.
