Student of NIT Silchar commited suicide inside the campus

way2barak, May 6: One NIT student namely Kishor Pran Deka, 20 years, resident of Kamrup (Rural) district  committed suicide by hanging inside bathroom of NIT, Guest House Room No 04 today.

Numal Mahatta, SP Cachar informs that Immediately after inquest the body of the deceased was sent to the Silchar Medical College Hospital for postmortem. During preliminary investigation, it has come to light that the deceased was suffering from acute depression and accordingly him parents were called and the family was staying along with the student. During this time he had committed suicidal hanging. Further legal proceedings have been initiated.
