Engineer from Silchar invents touchless sanitiser dispenser machine

July 18: The worldwide impact of the COVID-19 virus has been sudden and dramatic impacting profoundly on health and well being, daily life and the economy around the world. Besides Health care workers engineers also have a huge role to play in both the short term and in the immediate future. Hence being a part of engineering fraternity, Silchar youth Nirupam Choudhury, B.Tech, AMIE tried to do something that might turn out to be useful for mankind in this hour of pandemic.

Speaking to way2barak, Engineer Nirupam Choudhury said, “I have developed a portable Touchless Sanitizer Dispenser machine which is an effective and affordable one. The Touchless sanitizer machine is an infrared motion sensor based dispenser. The circuit uses 5v power supply under 1A which can be delivered by a mobile phone charging adapter. So when a person keeps his palm under the dispensing machine the onboard sensors immediately sense the obstruction and starts spraying certain amount of sanitizer in the palm of your hand for a predetermined time. The window on the back side of the unit shows the level of sanitizer remained. Simply pour any water based alcohol sanitizer in the tank to refill.”

This machine can be useful in Hospitals, Offices, Schools, Universities, Banks, Courier Services, and Restaurants etc. This machine is available at Ramkrishna Electronics, Meherpur, Silchar.
