17 new COVID-19 positive cases in Cachar on Wednesdayকাছাড়ে আক্রান্ত আরও ১৭, অধিকাংশ বিমানযাত্রী
শিলচর মেডিক্যাল কলেজ হাসপাতালের এক এমবিবিএস পড়ুয়াও রয়েছেন তালিকায়৷ তিনি হলেন ২২ বছর বয়সী জয়শ্রী কুমারী৷ তিনজন রয়েছেন ধলছড়া ক্যাম্পের বিএসএফ জওয়ান৷ ৫৩ বছরে লিলু রাম এসেছিলেন দিল্লি থেকে, ৩০ বছরের মহেশকুমার আসেন রাজস্থান থেকে৷ তিনদিন থেকে জ্বরে ভুগছিলেন মহেশ৷ আরেক বিএসএফ জওয়ান ভোসলে শান্তাজি৷ তাঁর পরিবারে অবশ্য আগেই করোনা সংক্রমণ ঘটেছে৷ ৩৭ বছরের সিআরপি জওয়ান ইন্দ্রজিত কুমার বিহার থেকে বিমানে এসেছেন৷ নমুনা পরীক্ষায় পজিটিভ ধরা পড়ে৷
কালাইনের ২১ বছর বয়সী তারক আজিজ চেন্নাইফেরত৷ পুনে থেকে এসেছেন আমড়াঘাটের লাভু শর্মা, কলকাতা থেকে আসেন নেতাজি সুভাষ অ্যাভেন্যুর অল্পেশ রাজপতি৷ বেঙ্গালুরু ফেরতরা হলেনঃ রুক্মিনী টি এস্টেটের পুনম কুমারী (35), শিলকুড়ির বিশ্বজিত মাল (২৪), ধরমখালের অনিতা মালা (৩৫), বাগবাহার টি এস্টেটের শানু মাহালি (২২), মতিনগরের হেমন্ত দাস (৩৪), কুরকুরি তৃতীয় খণ্ডের শুক্কুর আহনেদ(২০)৷ তারাপুরের সুব্রত ঘোষ (৪১) ও রাজদীপ সিং (২৬) কয়েকদিন ধরে জ্বর-কাশিতে ভুগছিলেন৷ এ দিন তাদেরও করোনা টেস্টের রিপোর্ট পজিটিভ আসে৷
July 15: On Wednesday, the 1st slot of COVID-19 positive patients came up in the afternoon. As per this list, 17 fresh cases of coronavirus positive cases were reported from across Cachar. With this, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the district has gone upto 497. As per sources in the district health department, there is probability of more lists coming up later today.
Jayashree Kaumar (22), UG student at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH) tested positive on Monday. Her source of being infected was not elaborated in the list. She is asymptomatic. However, she was quarantined at home. Further, two persons from Tarapur were suffering from fever & cough since last 5 days. Their swab samples were collected on 14 July. Their reports came on 15 July and they were confirmed as COVID-19 positive patients. They were also put under home quarantine. Both of them are symptomatic cases without any travel history. They were identified as Subrata Ghosh (41) and Rajdeep Singh (21). Another person, Pranabandhu Paul (62) from Kanakpur was also detected positive without any travel history. He had fever and so his swab was collected on 14 July. He was in home quarantine. He was reported as a symptomatic patient.
Tarak Aziz (21) from Kalain came to Silchar by air from Chennai. His swab was collected on 13 July and was quarantined at Agartala Lodge. His reports came on 15 July and was tested positive. Another air passenger, Lavu Sharma (22) from Amraghat came from Pune and was quarantined at Centre Palace. His positive report came on Wednesday.
Three persons who came by flight from Bangalore on 13 July also tested positive during the day. These 3 were in home quarantine. They are Punam Kurmi (35) from Rukmini Tea Estate, Biswajit Mal (24) from Silkuri and Anita Mala (35) also from Silkuri. Three more air passengers from Bangalore were also found to be positive. They were quarantined at NIT Silchar. They are Sanju Mohal (22) from Bagbahar Tea Estate, Hemanta Das (38) from Motinagar, Sonai and Sukkur Ahmed (20) from Kurkuri Part-3, Kalain.
Lilu Ram (53) from BSF Dholcherra tested positive during the day. He has got a travel history from Delhi. Mahesh Kumar (30) from BSF Dolcherra came to Cachar from Rajasthan. He was suffering from fever since 3 days. His swab sample was collected on 13 July. He was tested positive. Bhosleq Santaji (41) from BSF Dholcherra came in contact with a high risk lab confirmed case, who was his relative. His swab was taken on 14 July and his reports came on 15 July. He was tested positive. Both of them were quarantined at BSF Dholcherra. Indrajeet Kumar (37) from CRPF Dayapur travelled from Bihar by air and was also tested positive. He was quarantined at CRPF Dayapur. All three of them were asymptomatic.
As per statistics, Cachar recorded 214 positive cases just in the last 7 days (excluding 15 July). Here is the break-up:

- 09 July, 2020: 40 positive cases
- 10 July, 2020: 43 positive cases
- 11 July, 2020: 13 positive cases
- 12 July, 2020: 22 positive cases
- 13 July, 2020: 44 positive cases
- 14 July, 2020: 26 positive cases
