Cachar Agriculture Department invites online applications for subsidised farm machinery

way2barak, September 28: –The Agriculture Department, Assam has invited applications from eligible farmers and farmer groups for availing various agricultural machinery and equipment at subsidised rates under schemes including the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (PM-RKVY) and the Sub-Mission on Agricultural Mechanization (SMAM), among others.

Under the schemes, various agricultural machinery and equipment will be provided to farmers and farmer groups at subsidised prices. Power Tillers, Threshers and Reapers will be available at a subsidised price of Rs. 1,25,000 each. Besides these, Combine Harvesters, Brush Cutters, Chaff Cutters, Power Weeders and other agricultural machinery and equipment will also be provided under the schemes.

The selection of individual farmer applicants will be made through an online lottery process. The subsidy amount will be provided through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Farmers having suitable resources or land and intending to avail the benefits under these schemes are required to submit their applications online through the Agriculture Department’s portal at https://agrimachinery.nic.in/Index/Index.

Applicants are required to submit details including bank account number, Aadhaar number, land documents containing Dag and Patta details, mobile number and other necessary documents along with the application.

The last date for submission of applications through the concerned portal is October 15, 2026.

For assistance or further details regarding the schemes and application process, farmers may contact the concerned Agriculture Development Officer (ADO), Agriculture Extension Assistant (AEA) of their respective areas, or the District Agricultural Engineering Office.
