Niramaya initiated a Special Yogic Wellness Program “Newsroom to Nirvana” for Media Professionals in Silchar

way2barak, July 27 : A special yogic wellness program titled “Newsroom to Nirvana” has been launched in Silchar dedicated to the health and well-being of media professionals. The initiative is a joint venture by Silchar Niramaya – School of Yoga Education and The Institute for Yoga Education Research and Holistic Sciences. The program commenced on 26th July, Sunday, witnessing participation from journalists and workers across various media houses.

The workshop was conducted by Shatakshi Bhattacharjee, Director of Niramaya – School of Yoga Education. She was assisted by senior journalists Debashish Purkayastha and Abhijit Bhattacharjee, alongside representatives from yoga organizations including Yoga Acharya Rahul, Dr. Tuhin Deshmukhya, Tulana Das Purkayastha, Pallab Dey, Anurag Paul, and Ratul Chakraborty. Shekhar Chakraborty, Chairman of the Executive Council at Niramaya, announced that based on feedback and the schedules of media personnel, a monthly program will be conducted to support their long-term health and well-being.
The inaugural session featured Colonel Amit Agarwal, Commanding Officer of Project Pushpak (Nagatilla, Silchar), and Dr. Apratim Nag, Principal of Cachar College, as special guests. Certificates were distributed to the participants by the guests. Sharing their experiences at the event were journalists Gautam Prasad Dutta, Uttam Kumar Saha, Moksudul Chowdhury, Anshuman Acharya, and Sanjeeb Singh, among others.
