Police Day observed at Cachar also, Journalists offer greetings

১ অক্টোবরঃ কাছাড়েও নানা কর্মসূচিতে আসাম পুলিশ দিবস পালিত হল। সোমবার সকালে এই উপলক্ষে পুলিশ সুপারের কার্যালয়ে বিভাগীয় পতাকা উত্তোলন করা হয়। পরে বক্তব্য রাখতে গিয়ে ভারপ্রাপ্ত পুলিশ সুপার ভিভি রাকেশ রেড্ডি বলেন, জনগণের নিরাপত্তার প্রয়োজনেই পুলিশ বাহিনী। তাই সর্বাবস্থায় জনগণের কথা ভাবতে হবে। পাশাপাশি বিভাগীয় মর্যাদায়ও গুরুত্ব দিতে হবে।

মূলত রবিবার থেকেই দুদিন ব্যাপী পুলিশ দিবস উদযাপন শুরু হয়। সে দিন পুলিশের বিভিন্ন শাখা, স্থানীয় জনগণ এবং সংশ্লিষ্ট বিভিন্ন সংস্থার কর্মকর্তাদের নিয়ে এক আলোচনা সভার আয়োজন করা হয়। সাইবার ক্রাইম, মাদক পাচারের মতো অপরাধগুলি নিয়ে বিস্তৃত চর্চা হয় সেখানে।

এ দিকে, সোমবার আসাম পুলিশ দিবসে শিলচরের সাংবাদিক দল কাছাড়ের পুলিশ বাহিনীকে শুভেচ্ছা জানায়। ভারপ্রাপ্ত পুলিশ সুপার ভিভি রাকেশ রেড্ডিকে পুষ্পস্তবক প্রদান করে তাঁর মাধ্যমে জেলার সর্বস্তরের পুলিশ অফিসার ও পুলিশকর্মীদের শুভেচ্ছা জানানো হয়। সংবর্ধনার জবাবে রাকেশবাবু বলেন, সাংবাদিক-পুলিশ সুসম্পর্কের খুব প্রয়োজন। আজকের শুভেচ্ছা বার্তা পুলিশকে নৈতিক মনোবল জোগাল।

October 1: Along with the rest of the state, Assam Police Day was observed amidst a host of programmes in Cachar district also. In this connection, the departmental flag was unfurled in the office of the Superintendent of Police, Cachar. Later on, while speaking during the occasion, Police Super in-charge, V.V. Rakesh Reddy said that police forces exist for the security of the public.

Infact, the two-day long celebration of Police Day started from Sunday. On that day, a discussion was organized which was attended by the various branches of police, local citizens and heads of various concerned departments. A threadbare discussion on cyber crime and drugs smuggling took place over there.

Meanwhile, on Monday, the journalists of Silchar offered greetings to the police forces. They offered a bouquet to the Police Super in-charge and congratulated him on that day. Rakesh Reddy said that the relationship between the journalists and police is of utmost importance. He further said that the best wishes from the journalists have provided moral impetus to the police force.
