WhatsApp down! People unable to send & receive messages

way2barak, Oct.25: WhatsApp appears to be down for several users in India. On Tuesday afternoon, at around 1 PM users started to experience that they were unable to send & receive messages via WhatsApp. WhatsApp Web also appears to be affected by the outage, and we can confirm that app’s web client is simply not connecting anymore. Till the filing of this report at 1.30 PM WhatsApp remained to be inaccessible.

WhatsApp is yet to address the problem formally, and the exact cause of the issue remains unclear. Other Meta-owned services, such as Instagram and Facebook are working fine in India.
