Assam registers 2 more COVID-19 deaths, tally reaches 88

July 28: Two more persons died due to COVID-19 in Assam on Tuesday. The deceased were identified as Dulu Rani Sarkar (70) and Sri Hemanta Buragohain (50). They are from Kamrup metro district in Assam. Both of them were admitted at Gauhati Medical College & Hospital (GMCH) after they were infected with coronavirus. Ultimately, they succumbed to their infections on Tuesday at GMCH. This was confirmed in a tweet by State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma.
