Assam University Badminton Club to Organise Exhibition Match on May 26
আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ব্যাডমিন্টন ক্লাবের উদ্যোগে প্রদর্শনী ম্যাচ ২৬ মে

ওয়ে টু বরাক, ২৪ মে : ঐক্য, সুস্বাস্থ্য ও ক্রীড়া চেতনার বার্তা ছড়িয়ে দিতে এক প্রদর্শনী ব্যাডমিন্টন ম্যাচের আয়োজন করছে আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ব্যাডমিন্টন ক্লাব। আগামী ২৬ মে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের নবনির্মিত ইনডোর স্টেডিয়ামে আয়োজিত হবে এই প্রদর্শনী ব্যাডমিন্টন ম্যাচ। বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষক, শিক্ষাকর্মী, গবেষক ও ছাত্রছাত্রীদের অংশগ্রহণে আয়োজিত এই কর্মসূচিকে ঘিরে ইতিমধ্যেই উৎসাহের পরিবেশ তৈরি হয়েছে।

এদিন বিকেল চারটেয় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের আবাসিক এলাকায় ব্যাডমিন্টন ক্লাবের নবনির্মিত অফিস ভবনের উদ্বোধন করা হবে। এরপর বিকেল পাঁচটা থেকে ইনডোর স্টেডিয়ামে শুরু হবে এই প্রদর্শনী ম্যাচ। মোট তিনটি বিভাগে প্রতিযোগিতা অনুষ্ঠিত হবে। এর মধ্যে রয়েছে অনূর্ধ্ব-১৩ বালক ও বালিকা ডাবলস, পুরুষ ও মহিলা ওপেন ডাবলস এবং স্টাফ ওপেন ডাবলস।এ উপলক্ষে আয়োজিত অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত থাকবেন উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক রাজীব মোহন পন্থ। এছাড়াও বিশেষ অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত থাকবেন নিবন্ধক ড. প্রদোষ কিরণ নাথ ও স্পোর্টস বোর্ডের ডিরেক্টর অধ্যাপিকা এম তিনেশ্বরী দেবী।

ক্লাবের সাধারণ সম্পাদক কে আনন্দ কুমার সিংহ জানিয়েছেন, এই অনুষ্ঠানে ন্যাশনাল ইনস্টিটিউট অব টেকনোলজি ও শিলচর মেডিক্যাল কলেজ হাসপাতালের প্রতিনিধিরাও অংশগ্রহণ করবেন। এর ফলে ক্রীড়াসুলভ মনোভাব, পারস্পরিক সৌহার্দ্য এবং বিভিন্ন প্রতিষ্ঠানের মধ্যে সম্পর্ক আরও সুদৃঢ় হবে বলে আশা করেছেন তিনি। ক্লাবের পক্ষ থেকে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় পরিবার সহ ক্রীড়াপ্রেমীদের আন্তরিক আমন্ত্রণ জানানো হয়েছে।

Way2barak, May 24 : With the aim of promoting unity, healthy living, and sporting spirit, the Assam University Badminton Club is set to organise an exhibition badminton tournament on May 26 at the university’s newly constructed Indoor Stadium. The event, which will witness participation from faculty members, staff, research scholars, and students, has already generated considerable enthusiasm across the university community.

The programme will commence at 4:00 PM with the inauguration of the club’s newly built office building in the university’s residential area. This will be followed by the exhibition matches at the Indoor Stadium from 5:00 PM onwards. Competitions will be held in three categories: Under-13 Boys’ and Girls’ Doubles, Men’s and Women’s Open Doubles, and Staff Open Doubles.
The event will be graced by the Vice-Chancellor of Assam University, Prof. Rajive Mohan Pant, as the Chief Guest. Special Guests will include Dr. Pradosh Kiran Nath, Registrar of the university, and Prof. M. Tineswari Devi, Director of the Sports Board.

K. Anand Kumar Singh, General Secretary of the club, informed that representatives from National Institute of Technology Silchar and Silchar Medical College and Hospital will also participate in the programme. He expressed hope that the event would strengthen sportsmanship, foster mutual goodwill, and enhance inter-institutional relations. The club has extended a warm invitation to the entire university fraternity and sports enthusiasts to attend and make the event a success.
