All govt offices in Assam to display photos of President, PM & Gopinath Bordoloi

June 8: From now onwards, all government offices in Assam should have to display photographs of the President of India, Prime Minister and Assam’s first Chief Minister Gopinath Bordoloi. The decision was taken following the fourth cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of CM Himanta Biswa Sarma at Janata Bhawan in Guwahati.

Informing this in a tweet, Chief Minister Dr Sarma wrote, “Photographs of Hon President, Hon Prime Minister and 1st Chief Minister of Assam Sri Gopinath Bordoloi to be displayed at all Govt offices of Assam.”

▶ It was recommended to hold the first Budget Session of the present Assam Legislative Assembly from July 12.
