APSC issues detailed advisory for combined competitive (Prelim) examination 2025
way2barak, July 4: The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has issued an important advisory for candidates appearing in the Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination, 2025, scheduled to be held on July 5, 2026. The Commission has requested all candidates to carefully follow the prescribed instructions to facilitate the smooth, fair and orderly conduct of the examination.
As per the advisory, candidates will be permitted to carry only the specified items inside the examination venue. These include a blue or black ball pen, the e-Admission Certificate with a passport-size photograph affixed, and an original photo identity card. Valid identity documents include the PAN Card, Driving Licence, Passport, Voter ID Card, Aadhaar Card, identity card issued by a Government Department or Public Sector Undertaking (PSU), and identity card issued by an Educational Institution.
The Commission has categorically stated that no other item will be allowed inside the examination venue. Candidates must not carry mobile phones, water bottles, watches of any kind or any electronic device. The advisory warns that carrying any prohibited item into the examination venue will be treated as the adoption of unfair means and will attract disciplinary action under the applicable rules. Such action may include debarment from future examinations conducted by the Assam Public Service Commission.
Candidates have also been advised to exercise utmost care while filling up the OMR Answer Sheet. They must correctly fill in and darken their Roll Number, Test Booklet Number and Test Booklet Series. The Commission has clearly stated that OMR Answer Sheets in which these particulars are not darkened or are incorrectly darkened will not be evaluated.
The advisory further instructs candidates that, at the end of each examination session, they must submit the red-coloured copy of the OMR Answer Sheet to the Invigilator. Candidates will be allowed to retain the blue-coloured carbon copy of the OMR Answer Sheet along with the Test Booklet after the examination.
The Assam Public Service Commission has urged all candidates to reach their respective examination centres well before the scheduled time and comply with every instruction issued for the examination. Careful adherence to the prescribed guidelines will help ensure a smooth, transparent and disciplined examination process.
