42 new COVID-19 positive cases in Hailakandi; total tally 608

15 July: 42 more fresh COVID-19 positive cases have been detected in South Assam’s Hailakandi district on Wednesday, taking the total tally to 608. Health authorities here disclosed that 42 patients tested positive while 280 cases turned out to be negative on Wednesday.

19 persons on being cured have been discharged from hospitals on Wednesday, taking the total number of discharged persons to 370. There are presently 236 active cases in the district. 41 persons are admitted at SK Roy designated COVID-19 Hospital, 44 at MG COVID-19 Hospital, 11 at SMC&H, 53 at Algapur COVID-19 Hospital, 10 each at HPC Guest House COVID Care Centre and HPC Hospital COVID Care Centre, 12 at DIET COVID Care Centre, 31 under home isolation and 24 under process.

Two COVID-19 positive patients viz., Mangoli Rani Das, 53, and Foijul Haque Barbhuiya, 65, breathed their last at Silchar Medical College and Hospital. 1,538 persons are under facility quarantine centres while 5,642 persons under home quarantine. Of the 11,917 swab samples taken, 9,667 turned out to be negative. Swab results of 905 persons are awaited.
