With 101 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 402 on 1 June, 3 deaths at SMCH

Active cases 3,314 in Cachar

June 1: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Tuesday at 11.20 PM. As per the latest data, 101 more persons were detected as coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 402 persons were found positive in the district on 1 June. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 301 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 3,314. This was informed by DIPRO Cachar on Tuesday night. It needs mention here that on Monday, 528 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.

As per the updated data, a total of 6,099 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 301 persons were found positive, whereas 101 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases in 2021 reached 10,645 in 2021, whereas during the year, 7,229 patients were discharged.

Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 3,314 active patients:

  • 310 of them are admitted at SMCH
  • 11 at MH
  • 40 at SMDCH
  • 43 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
  • 07 at CRPF Doyapur
  • 20 at Gracewell Nursing Home
  • 22 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
  • 18 at Valley Hospital
  • 14 at South City Hospital
  • 16 at Nightingale Hospital
  • 03 at Jivan Jyoti Hospital
  • 30 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
  • 2,780 patients are in home isolation.

Death of Covid-19 patients continued unabated in Barak Valley. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 31 May to 5 PM on 1 June) witnessed demise of 03 Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH. Their detailed reports were forwarded to the State Death Audit Board. All three deceased are from Cachar district.

The deceased were identified as Abdul Mannan Sodial (55) from Madhurband, Silchar, Manik Chandra Deb (75) from Azad Hind Road, Silchar and Rohit Bhar (65) from Durgakona, Cachar.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 1 June, there were 309 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 96 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 213 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 25 patients were put under ventilator support and 173 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 50 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 39 of them were discharged. Further, 42 of them have opted for home isolation.
