Colleges to continue 3-yr graduate courses till 4-yr programmes are fully implemented: UGC

way2barak, Dec.14: The Government has set the ball roll for implementation of NEP 2020. As a part of this new step, four-year graduate courses will now be implemented in the colleges. However, UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar has said that the three-year undergraduate courses will continue till the four-year courses are fully implemented

Kumar’s comment came as the UGC recently announced that students will henceforth have to pursue a four-year degree course to graduate with honours. He also said that the students with a four-year graduate degree can directly pursue PhD programme.
