With 7 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 13 on 4 Sept, 1 death at SMCH

Sept 4: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Saturday at 11.18 PM. As per the latest data, 07 more persons were detected as Coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 13 persons were found positive in the district on 4 September. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 06 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 111. This was informed by District Media Expert on Saturday night. Also, 05 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Friday, 26 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.

As per the updated data, a total of 2,479 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 06 persons were found positive, whereas 07 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 19,785 whereas during this phase, 19,478 patients were discharged.

Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 111 active patients:

26 of them are admitted at SMCH
05 at MH
12 at SM Dev Civil Hospital
08 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
05 at CRPF Doyapur
04 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
04 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
01 Palonghat Model Hospital
46 patients are in home isolation.

The Covid-19 situation in gradually is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 3 September to 5 PM on 4 September) witnessed the death of 01 Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Saturday evening. The deceased was identified as:

• Monara Begum Laskar (60) from Bagpur in Cachar district was admitted at SMCH on 3 September, 2021. She, however, breathed her last at 12.30 AM on 4 September, 2021.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 4 September, there were 24 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, 01 patient was put under ventilator support and 16 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 07 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 08 of them were discharged.
