ওয়ে টু বরাক, ২৯ মে : যৌথ গবেষণা, শিক্ষক ও ছাত্ৰ বিনিময়, শিক্ষা বিষয়ক সহযোগিতার লক্ষ্যে থাইল্যান্ডের সুরীন্দ্ৰ রাজভাট বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সঙ্গে সমঝোতা চুক্তি স্বাক্ষর করল আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়৷ এই সমঝোতা চুক্তির মাধ্যমে ভবিষ্যতে শিক্ষা সংক্রান্ত সহযোগিতা ছাড়াও আন্তৰ্জাতিক স্তরে একাধিক অ্যাকাডেমিক কৰ্মসূচি পরিচালনার পথ আরও প্ৰসারিত হবে বলে আশাপ্ৰকাশ করা হয়েছে৷

সম্প্ৰতি থাইল্যান্ডের সুরীন্দ্ৰ রাজভাট বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের উদ্যোগে আয়োজিত ‘কৃত্ৰিম বুদ্ধিমত্তা ও ডিজিটাল প্ৰযুক্তি : সংকট মোকাবিলা এবং সীমান্তবৰ্তী জনগোষ্ঠীর নিরাপত্তা উন্নয়ন’ শীৰ্ষক এক আন্তৰ্জাতিক সম্মেলনের ফাঁকে উভয় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের মধ্যে এই সমঝোতা চুক্তি স্বাক্ষরিত হয়৷ সম্মেলনে বিভিন্ন দেশের ১৮টি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষাবিদ, গবেষক, নীতিনিৰ্ধারক ও বিশেষজ্ঞরা অংশগ্ৰহণ করেন৷ আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের পক্ষ থেকে এই সম্মেলনে যোগ দেন উপাচাৰ্য অধ্যাপক রাজীব মোহন পন্থ ও বাণিজ্য প্ৰশাসন বিভাগের সহযোগী অধ্যাপক ড. দীপজ্যোতি চৌধুরী৷

মূল অধিবেশনে উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক রাজীব মোহন পন্থ ‘কৃত্ৰিম বুদ্ধিমত্তা ও ডিজিটাল প্ৰযুক্তি : সংকট মোকাবিলা এবং সীমান্তবৰ্তী জনগোষ্ঠীর নিরাপত্তা উন্নয়ন’ শীর্ষক বিষয়ে বক্তব্য রাখেন। তিনি ভৌগোলিক বিচ্ছিন্নতা, সীমান্ত অতিক্রমকারী অপরাধ, অভিবাসনজনিত ঝুঁকি, বহুমাত্ৰিক প্ৰশাসনিক জটিলতা এবং ডিজিটাল নিরাপত্তা সংক্রান্ত সমস্যাগুলি নিয়ে বিশদ ভাবে আলোচনা করেন৷ পাশাপাশি ভারত-বাংলাদেশ সীমান্ত, থাইল্যান্ড-মায়ানমার সীমান্ত এবং ইউরোপের সীমান্ত ব্যবস্থাপনার উদাহরণ তুলে ধরে তিনি ব্যাখ্যা করেন কীভাবে কৃত্ৰিম বুদ্ধিমত্তা, পূৰ্বাভাসভিত্তিক বিশ্লেষণ এবং আধুনিক ডিজিটাল নজরদারি ব্যবস্থা বৰ্তমানে সংকট মোকাবিলা ও সীমান্ত সুরক্ষায় গুরুত্বপূৰ্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করছে৷

অন্য এক কারিগরি অধিবেশনে ড. দীপজ্যোতি চৌধুরী ডিজিটাল যুগে যুদ্ধ ও সংকট মোকাবিলা বিষয়ে বক্তব্য রাখেন৷ তিনি বৰ্তমান সময়ে সাইবার অপরাধ, তথ্য চুরি, ভুয়ো তথ্য প্ৰচার, কৃত্ৰিমভাবে তৈরি বিভ্ৰান্তিকর ছবি ও ভিডিও এবং প্ৰযুক্তিনিৰ্ভর বৈশ্বিক সংঘাতের ক্রমবৰ্ধমান ঝুঁকি নিয়ে আলোচনা করেন৷ একই সঙ্গে সাইবার নিরাপত্তা সম্পৰ্কে সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধি, প্ৰযুক্তি ব্যবহারে নৈতিক নীতিমালা এবং আন্তৰ্জাতিক সহযোগিতার প্ৰয়োজনীয়তার ওপরও তিনি গুরুত্ব আরোপ করেন৷

উল্লেখ্য, আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় আন্তৰ্জাতিক গবেষণা, শিক্ষক বিনিময় এবং বৈশ্বিক শিক্ষাগত সহযোগিতার মাধ্যমে নিজেদের কাৰ্যক্রম সম্প্ৰসারিত করে চলেছে৷ দুই বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ই আশা প্ৰকাশ করেছে যে এই সহযোগিতা ভারত ও থাইল্যান্ডের মধ্যে শিক্ষা, সংস্কৃতি এবং পারস্পরিক সম্পৰ্ককে আরও সুদৃঢ় করবে৷ পাশাপাশি ছাত্ৰ-শিক্ষকদের আন্তৰ্জাতিক অভিজ্ঞতা অৰ্জন, যৌথ গবেষণা এবং সাংস্কৃতিক বিনিময়ের ক্ষেত্ৰেও এই চুক্তি গুরুত্বপূৰ্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করবে বলে মত প্ৰকাশ করা হয়েছে৷

Way2barak, May 29 : Assam University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Surindra Rajabhat University of Thailand with the objective of promoting joint research, faculty and student exchange, and academic collaboration. It is hoped that this agreement will pave the way for broader educational cooperation and the implementation of several international academic programmes in the future.

The MoU was signed recently on the sidelines of an international conference titled “Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technology: Crisis Management and Security Enhancement for Border Communities”, organised by Surindra Rajabhat University in Thailand. Academicians, researchers, policymakers, and experts from 18 universities across different countries participated in the conference. Assam University was represented by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rajive Mohan Pant and Associate Professor of the Department of Business Administration, Dr. Deepjyoti Choudhury.

During the plenary session, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rajive Mohan Pant delivered a speech on the theme “Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technology: Crisis Management and Security Enhancement for Border Communities.” He elaborately discussed issues related to geographical isolation, cross-border crimes, migration-related risks, multidimensional administrative complexities, and digital security challenges. Referring to examples from the India-Bangladesh border, the Thailand-Myanmar border, and border management systems in Europe, he explained how artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, and modern digital surveillance systems are playing a crucial role in crisis management and border security in the present time.

In another technical session, Dr. Deepjyoti Choudhury spoke on war and crisis management in the digital age. He discussed the growing threats of cybercrime, data theft, fake information campaigns, artificially generated misleading images and videos, and technology-driven global conflicts. He also stressed the importance of enhancing cybersecurity awareness, ethical guidelines in the use of technology, and international cooperation.

It may be mentioned that Assam University has been continuously expanding its activities through international research, faculty exchange, and global academic collaborations. Both universities expressed hope that this partnership would further strengthen educational, cultural, and mutual relations between India and Thailand. The agreement is also expected to play an important role in providing international exposure to students and teachers, promoting joint research, and encouraging cultural exchange.
