With 5 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 11 on 25 Sept

Active cases 57 in Cachar on Saturday

Sept 25: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Saturday at 11.15 PM. As per the latest data, 05 more persons were detected as Coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 11 persons were found positive in the district on 25 September. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 06 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has gone down to 57 This was informed by District Media Expert on Saturday night. Also, 22 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Friday, 09 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.

As per the updated data, a total of 2,139 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 06 persons were found positive, whereas 05 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 2,00,33 whereas during this phase, 19,765 patients were discharged.

Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 57 active patients:

17 of them are admitted at SMCH
08 at MH
00 at SM Dev Civil Hospital
06 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
01 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
04 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
21 patients are in home isolation.

The Covid-19 situation in Cachar is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 24 September to 5 PM on 25 September) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Saturday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 25 September, there were 15 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, no patient was put under ventilator support, but 01 of them was in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 03 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH but none of them were discharged.
