50% staff of Supreme Court tests +ve; Judges to work from home

April 12: Over 50% of the Supreme Court (SC) staff tested positive for coronavirus after test results of as many as 44 of 97 of them came back as positive. The Supreme Court has suspended the physical hearing of the cases amid a surge in the number of COVID-19 cases. The SC judges will now appear for hearings from their homes via video conferencing. The entire court premises comprising courtrooms are being sanitised.
