Free Cataract Detection and Eye Check Up Camp by Lions & YASE at Irongmara

July 15: Lions Club of Silchar Lioness (LCSL) and Youth Against Social Evils (YASE) jointly organised a ‘Free Cataract Detection and Eye Check Up Camp’ , at Irongmara High School on Monday. Dr Jhalak Debroy and supporting staff examined 141 patients in the camp.

Out of the 141 patients who were examined, 12 were detected of suffering from cataract and were brought to Lions Eye Hospital, Silchar for free operation. Further, 61 patients were given free spectacles and maximum of them were provided free medicine.

On behalf of LCSL, President Uma Kar, Sakhi Bhattacharjee, Indrani Bhattacharjee, Ipsita Dutta, Nandini Purokaysta, Anjana Deb and Dr Madhumita Dhar Sarkar were present. On behalf of YASE, President Sanjeev Roy, Subir Dutta Mazumder (camp Incharge) Pronoy Nag,  Bandita Trivedi Roy, Jishu Suklobodyo, Ramdular Pashi,  Juri Das,Ramnath Goala were present. Head master of the school  Abhijit Deb extended full co-operation to make the camp successful.
