Start healthy habits from young age to avoid cancer in future, says Dr. Ravi Kannan

Feb. 21: To curb the menace of adolescent children taking to tobacco and drugs, a meeting was held by Deputy Commissioner, Cachar, Keerthi Jalli with DEEO, Inspector of Schools, CDC, DI/BEEO, Sub Inspector of Schools, DPO, DUC, DPE, Dist. Programmer, DPM, DMIS(MDM), FAO, JE( RMSA), Sr. Accountant, RMSA in partnership with Cachar Cancer Hospital and Research Centre.

Expressing his views, Padmashri Dr Ravi Kannan spoke on the importance of healthy habits to start from young age to avoid cancer in the future. An action plan was devised for making all schools of Cachar tobacco free. DC Jalli emphasized on the importance of awareness in children to say no to drugs/ tobacco that are packaged as attractive by the companies.
