Postal ballot voting for SMC Election on September 26

way2barak, September 24: The casting of votes through Postal Ballot Paper by those eligible voters who applied in Application Form-20 within the stipulated time in connection with the Silchar Municipal Corporation (SMC) Election 2026 will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the Government Girls’ H.S. & M.P. School, Silchar.

The postal ballot voting process will commence at 9.30 am and continue until 5 pm at the designated venue.

The arrangement has been made to facilitate eligible applicants who have opted for voting through postal ballot in accordance with the prescribed election procedure. The concerned applicants are required to participate in the postal ballot voting process at the designated centre during the notified hours.

The postal ballot exercise forms part of the preparations for the forthcoming SMC Election 2026 and will be conducted under the supervision of the election authorities in accordance with the prescribed rules and procedures.

Officials concerned have been requested to ensure that all necessary arrangements remain in place at the venue so that the voting process is conducted smoothly and in an orderly manner.
