800 found Covid +ve in Assam on Friday, 2 deaths & active cases 5,508 in the state

July 22: On Friday, out of 7,922 tests, 800 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus stands at 7,34,012. The positivity rate in the state is 10.10. percent. Out of the 800 positive cases, the high case load districts are: Baksa (60), Goalpara (50), Darrang (47), Dibrugarh (45) and Lakhimpur (42). Further, 31 persons were found positive in Cachar district on Friday.

Further, on Friday, 02 died in the state due to COVID-19. The deceased are from Kamrup Metro and Nagaon. The death toll in the state stands at 6,660. The recovery rate is 98.16 percent. 615 persons were discharged during the day. So far, 7,20,492 persons got cured and were discharged. There are at present 5,508 active Covid patients in the state.

It needs mention here that on Thursday, 720 persons tested positive in Assam and 02 deaths were registered.
