NIAIMT signs MoU with NIT-Silchar to bolster Skill Development Trainings

way2barak, 11 July : NIAIMT-Silchar has signed MoU with National Institute of Technology (NIT-Silchar) as a strategic initiative to develop technical knowledge sharing, infrastructure sharing, promote automotive skills development, provide better learning opportunities for aspiring candidates through solidarity, mutual co-operation and also through technology partnership.

This significant initiative has been marked as a cornerstone to boost regional development and nurture the inquisitiveness among learners to perform research & development works related to automotive domain & transportation engineering.

This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between NIAIMT Silchar and NIT-Silchar fosters for active collaboration in key areas such as transportation safety, driver behaviour research, and skill development training.

This landmark partnership marks the first collaboration between two premier institutes of the Barak Valley region, paving the way for impactful research, innovation, and capacity building in the region. Together, we aim to contribute meaningfully to the development of a safer and more efficient transport ecosystem.

MoU signed between Dr. Asim Roy, Registrar, NIT-Silchar and Dr. Aninda Bijoy Paul, Sr Advisor and Site Head, NIAIMT-Silchar, in presence of Dr. Dilip Kumar Baidya, Director, NIT-Silchar, Prof Mokaddes Ali Ahmed of Civil Engg Dept, NIT Silchar and other senior officials from both the Institutes.

NIAIMT-Silchar was established by the Ministry of Heavy Industries, Govt of India and is located at Jaffirbond (near Udharbond) in the Cachar District of Assam.
