Never click on links from unverified sources for vaccine registration: Assam Police

May 7: Finally, the Covid-19 vaccination programme for those belonging to the age group of 18 to 44 years of age kick-started in Assam. The vaccine is administered only to those who have booked their slot online. There is no offline way of getting the jab. However, certain phishing sites are confusing people by sending links for getting registered online for the vaccine. These are spurious links, said Assam Police.

In an advisory to the people of the state, Assam Police said, “Beware of scammers using COVID-19 as a pretext to defraud people. Never Click on links from unverified and unknown sources. Register & schedule appointments for Vaccination only through CoWIN and Aarogya Setu App.” So to be in the safe side, we are not to fall a prey to another other site apart from CoWIN and Aarogya Setu App.
